While the flowers were obviously gorgeous, there was one element of the bouquet I instantly was fascinated by – these beautifully olive yet jade-ish waxy leaves that were thrown in as a decorative filler. I took a picture and sent them to my mum with the caption “WHAT ARE THESE” (she’s pretty much a walking flower encyclopaedia) and she replied saying, Eucalyptus – rub the leaves and smell them! I did as she said and my god I fell in love. I obviously had heard of  Eucalyptus before but I guess I had never realised this is what it looked like. Well, needless to say – Hello to my new favourite plant!
